Tickets for the annual event went on sale Nov. 17 at 9 am and the lineup for the 2015 event is sure to attract attention.
The organizers have announced that Miranda Lambert has been confirmed as headliners.
"Announcing an artist confirmed it is something we take very seriously," says Rob Waloschuk, Dauphin Countryfest promoter. "Our policy is to present artists only once we have received confirmation of its management to do so. Sometimes circumstances are beyond our control, and unfortunately, Brad Paisley, who had confirmed his performance in the 2015 Countryfest Dauphin, has had to cancel his appointment with us, due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts ".
"Given our status in the music industry, we were able to get quickly and confirm the reigning Female Vocalist of the Year, Miranda Lambert," continued Waloschuk, adding, "We are excited to bring our festival Miranda, since she now has the title of the most decorated female artist in the history of the Association Awards country Music ".
According to an online biography, "Lambert was born on November 10, 1983, in Longview, Texas. His family helped finance his first recording in 2001. Lambert later became a contestant on Nashville Star. She finished as runner but he got a contract with Sony Music. His major label debut album Kerosene (2005) went platinum. Lambert is married with fellow country star Blake Shelton ".
To date, the lineup for the event includes the dead South perpetrators and Brantley Gilbert on Friday, Jake Owen Miranda Lambert Saturday and Sunday, all on the main stage.
As always, the additional entertainment will fill the weekend with artists are confirmed in the coming months.
Tickets went on sale earlier this week and can be purchased online in person at 28 - North Second Avenue East in Dauphin.
