WESTERN MANITOBA’S LARGEST COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL HITS THE BIG SCREEN

During the past 25 years, Dauphin Countryfest has brought enjoyment and lasting memories for many, induced both by music and alcohol. This year , in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Dauphin Countryfest " Countryfest -

The story of Major Running Country Music Festival in Canada " was presented at the Movies Countryfest Community in February, and is available for viewing on stories MTS from home MTS TV.


Tracking the growth of the humble beginnings of Countryfest base in country music festival longest running in Canada, the documentary takes viewers into camps and behind the scenes to show the complexity of the musical phenomenon.

"The film captures the spirit and history of the festival beautifully," said Eric Irwin, president of Dauphin Countryfest. "It's the next best thing to being there.”

“Countryfest - The Story of the Longest Running Canadian Country Music Festival " is brought to you by Dirty T Shirt Productions Steve Langston and Chris Mitchell and producer Howard Wirch, and stands as the second local film to be funded by MTS.

According to local radio stations, the film will allow the experience uniquely Canadian country music to be shared with the rest of the world.

Countryfest 2014 the 25th anniversary of the event is met, and June 26 to 29, music fans can see some of the biggest names in the country music world on stage, including Blake Shelton, Tim Hicks, The Band Perry, Rascal Flatts, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Lee Brice, Billy Blackjack, Jordan McIntosh and Brett Kissel.
